We Offer a Range of Services to Meet Your Needs

Flexible Counseling—Telehealth & In-Person Therapy in Ohio

At Harmony Harbor Therapy, we provide professional, confidential counseling services both in-person at our Cincinnati office and online through secure telehealth sessions. Whether you're located in Columbus, Cleveland, Dayton, Cincinnati, Utah or anywhere else in Ohio, our goal is to make mental health care accessible and personalized to fit your lifestyle.

Our telehealth counseling option offers a convenient way to connect with a licensed therapist from the comfort of your home—ideal for busy schedules, limited mobility, or simply added privacy. For those who prefer a face-to-face connection, we also welcome clients to our Cincinnati therapy office for in-person sessions.

Brief or
Short-term
Therapy

At Harmony Harbor Therapy, we offer several short-term therapy options designed to create meaningful change in a focused timeframe:

  • Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT): Typically 8–10 sessions

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT): Generally 6–10 sessions, depending on the concern

  • Interpersonal Therapy (IPT): Typically 12–16 sessions

  • Long-Term Therapy: Often 15–20 sessions or more, based on the client's needs, therapeutic goals, and the type of treatment

Research shows that approximately 50% of clients require 15–20 sessions to experience significant improvement.

Treatment
Process

Our approach to treatment is collaborative and structured, with each phase tailored to support progress and long-term success:

  • Comprehensive assessment

  • Development of a personalized treatment plan

  • Targeted homework assignments to apply strategies between sessions

  • Ongoing review and adjustment of the treatment plan as needed

Medical Necessity and Wellness

At Harmony Harbor Therapy, we are committed to ethical and effective care. When utilizing insurance, we follow all required Medical Necessity Criteria and Clinical Guidelines set by the client’s insurance provider.

A service is considered medically necessary if it:

  • Appropriately addresses the client’s diagnosis, symptoms, or condition

  • Provides direct treatment for the client’s presenting concerns

  • Follows professional, evidence-based standards of care

  • Is not solely for the convenience of the client or provider

Understanding these requirements helps clients make informed decisions about their care and coverage.

Our Philosophy on Lifespan Mental Wellness

At Harmony Harbor Therapy, we believe that supporting mental wellness throughout all stages of life is essential to personal peace, purpose, and fulfillment.

We offer compassionate care even if a client’s concerns do not meet strict insurance criteria for “medical necessity.” Everyone deserves support, whether navigating past trauma, facing new challenges, or simply seeking growth.

Clients often benefit from therapy to:

  • Process thoughts, emotions, or spiritual questions

  • Explore life decisions and values

  • Stay grounded in what matters most

  • Maintain emotional and relational wellness

We also offer discounted pre-paid packages for 10 or more sessions. Ask us how we can support your long-term wellness journey.
